On your Voter Registration Card, you will see a Commissioner precinct number and a JP precinct number this is the county precinct/ Commissioner precinct where you reside.
Your residence is located in a specific "precinct number that determines your poling place" within the county, where you will vote on Election Day. In some cases, precincts may be combined to accommodate joint local elections.
